Victoria College & Bournville College Partnership

Wednesday, 19 August 2015

Victoria College and Bournville College have entered into a formal partnership which will begin this September. Victoria College students will now be on role through the partnership arrangement at Bournville but will be based at Victoria College for their programme of study. The partnership will build on community links for learners in Birmingham.

Michele Sutton, Bournville College Principal and Chief Executive, commented: ‘We are excited about the new partnership with Victoria College which will enable us to give learners opportunities to extend their time in education and further develop their life skills. With such limited provision of this type available locally and nationally, we’re pleased to be able to offer this programme and help learners continue to learn, develop and thrive.’

Justine Sims, Executive Headteacher at Victoria College, added: ‘Victoria College has already had two successful years with student numbers trebling this year. We are providing a unique programme of study for adult learners with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities in a fantastic college environment on our Bell Hill Campus. This new and exciting partnership with Bournville College will allow us to go from strength to strength with a local community partner.’
