Ten Pin Bowling

The students enjoyed a trip to celebrate the end of term. They all enjoyed taking part in the activity and having their lunch out too.

Safeside Visit

The students visited Safeside to learn about safety both in the home and when out in the community. They were able to access a train, explore a house with many potential dangers, cross roads and see a range of emergency vehicles.

Graduation 2019

The Graduation took place on Wednesday 10th July, with 6 students graduating. The Records of Achievement were presented by Julie Fardell, Executive Head.

Special awards given to a number of students, who received vouchers generously donated and presented by Mike Hopkins of South and City College Birmingham. They included awards for increased communication, independence and determination to complete tasks.

The staff would like to congratulate all students on their awards and Graduation

Spring Fair and Chocolate Raffle

Victoria School held it’s annual Spring Fair and the College attended too and had a tombola of goods made by the students as well as our Chocolate Hamper being on Show. There were lots of lucky winners.

Our local fire officer visits the students in College regularly. There are many reasons including feeling safe with people in uniform should there ever be an incident, identifying people from our local community and being aware of job roles.

Fund Raising Coffee Morning

The students and staff held a coffee morning in aid of two charities, Children in Need and McMillan. Staff and students brought in cakes and many purchased them to take a boxed selection home or to eat as their snack on the day. £119 was raised.

Street Part for Meghan and Harry

Friday was a busy day with the visit from Big Top working with both classes, in between we celebrated the Royal Wedding with a street Party. All the staff and students had lunch outside in an array of red,white and blue!

Big Top Multi Art Event

The students enjoyed a visit from Rosie and Dom from Big Top, a Multi Arts group. They all played musical instruments, sang, moved, carried out intensive interaction and explored numerous sensory items, most of all there were lots of smiles!

Volunteers from HSBC

Thursday, 22 March 2018

9 Volunteers from HSBC arrived to give their time as part of their Community Volunteering Day. In the morning they worked in the garden, digging, cleaning, planting and weeding to rejuvenate the sensory garden and outdoor area and in preparation for the memorial garden.
In the afternoon they supported the students to take part in a sports afternoon for Sports Relief.
